Why you are seeking this position?

I am seeking this Board position because I feel certain I can bring value not only to the AHRMM organization but to the entire Supply Chain Profession.  I have a passion for not only developing myself but others as well.  I remain very instrumental in implementing the changes needed to stay ahead of the curve in this rapidly changing environment.  Once committed, I follow through until 110% of my goals and the goals of the organization are achieved.

How can you advance AHRMM's mission to advance healthcare through supply chain excellence?

Communication and participation!  I will continue to spread the AHRMM mission and vision through visibility, via in person chapter visits, use of social networks such as LinkedIn, Twitter, and Facebook.   I will submit announcements through AHRMM’s weekly newsletter, and publish articles!  I will encourage the need to share success stories along with the failures and obstacles in which we can all learn from and in the end provide better outcomes for our organizations and more importantly the patients we serve.  Last and certainly not the least, I will continue to share the importance of the CMRP certification, membership in AHRMM as well as your local chapter and continued education in the supply chain profession overall.

Identify 3 - 5 strategic priorities you think AHRMM should undertake and your reasons for identifying them as important.

1. Collaboration: I would be AHRMM’s voice to the membership across the country.  I would continue to lead by example and encourage all to become involved, share experiences and demonstrate the value of membership in AHRMM

2. Education:  Communicate and encourage all to take the CMRP Certification.  Encourage all to participate in the numerous educational offering sponsored by AHRMM and their colleagues across the Supply Chain profession.

3. Development at all levels in the supply chain:  I would provide information, knowledge and leadership that will motivate and mentor the younger generations to get involved in the Supply Chain profession.

Identify your personal and professional qualities that will be valuable in the position for which you are being considered.

I am passionate about our profession and the career path I have chosen.  My morals, values, and ethics all fall within the AHRMM vision and mission.  I am proficient in our field and strive for excellence in everything I do.  I give more than 100% when facing challenges and accepting responsibility.

How will you use these qualities to benefit AHRMM, the Board, and the members?

I will work as a team member with the entire AHRMM Board.  I will bring my experience, my knowledge and my dedication to the entire AHRMM membership as well as all in the health care arena.  I will continue to educate myself and understand the changes facing our industry and work to make a positive difference when delivering patient care whether indirectly or directly.

What do you expect to be your single, greatest contribution to AHRMM as a Board member?

I am a true leader.  I will motivate, provide direction and work as a team player to complete tasks at hand.  I am someone you can count on!

Describe one transformational experience in your professional life you have been involved with and what you have learned from this experience.

The development and growth of our local chapter (SEPAC) was not only an experience I learned from but one that was also very self-rewarding!  Since serving as President our chapter has grown significantly; once a standard chapter of AHRMM to now a 2nd time GOLD recipient.  More importantly, I believe this has happened because of my passion and devotion to our membership and in receipt what the membership has brought back to me; “active participation”, a strong board of Directors, an extremely active membership.  With proactive planning by all, it allows the membership to take advantage of all the offerings provided at the local level as well as the national level.
