Biography:
Gena Futral, MHA, BSN, provides direction and support for VHA’s Performance Services with an expertise in Physician Preference Management strategies. She brings more than 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry. Prior to joining VHA, Gena spent six years working with Goodroe Healthcare Solutions as a Senior Consultant and prior was the Director of Cardiovascular Services for a tertiary cardiovascular program. Gena’s areas of expertise include: reengineering of clinical care; cardiovascular service line administration, strategic planning; physician-hospital alignment strategies; clinical, operational, and cost database management. Gena received her master’s degree in Healthcare Administration from Mercer University in Atlanta, GA, and her BSN from Georgia Baptist College of Nursing. She is a member of the Nursing Honor Society, Sigma Theta Tau International.
