Product Data and Synchronization in Healthcare Webinar Series

AHRMM, the Coalition for Healthcare eStandards (CHeS), and the Healthcare Supply Chain Standards Coalition (HSCSC) have co-sponsored a five-part webinar series on product data and synchronization in healthcare. Each session focuses its attention on GS1 standards and the GDSN® for the healthcare industry.
Recordings for all webinars are free of charge. AHRMM members will receive 1 Contact Hour towards CMRP recertification or 0.1 CEUs for participating in each session.
Session I: Defining a Healthcare Product Data Utility (PDU)
Presenters:
-
Kathleen Garvin, Program Manager for Data Synchronization, DoD GDSN Pilot, Department of Defense
-
Joe Pleasant, CIO, Premier, Inc., Chair, Coalition for Healthcare eStandards (CHeS)
This session provides an overview of the problems caused by lack of synchronization and highlights the ongoing efforts to launch a PDU in healthcare. The U.S. Department of Defense has released initial results of an ongoing data synchronization pilot, where an existing product data network known as the Global Data Synchronization Network® (GDSN) is being tested. This session focuses on the initial pilot results which show that GDSN demonstrates the potential to meet the healthcare industry’s complex data synchronization needs.
