SCMetrix™ Webinar: Converting Your Hospital Data into the SCMetrix™ Format

This webinar, hosted by AHRMM and the WP Carey School of Business at Arizona State University, covers the SCMetrix™ benchmarking and performance improvement tool. This hour-long session will help train individuals/hospitals on the requirements for converting their facilities’ data into the proper SCMetrix™ format.

Developed to assist those who are engaged in the data collection process but require direction on how to estimate department and service line data requirements; involved in the data collection process but need help to streamline/simplify the process; and interested in participating but are unsure of how to translate hospital data into the AHRMM-HFMA supply expense definitions, the webinar teaches:

• How to translate data into the required SCMetrix™ format
• How to make an informed decision on whether to estimate a data field or insert a missing value indicator. Specific procedures for estimations; common conversion problems will be covered through illustrative examples
• Strategies for making informed decisions on which level of benchmarking is most appropriate for your hospital
• Suggestions on how to collect additional data in the future

To save the recording locally:
1) Right click on the following link  and choose the option to "Save Target As..." 
2) Go to the location of the saved zip folder, right click on it and choose "Extract All..." 
3) An Extraction Wizard will open, follow the prompts to save the folder. All files necessary files will be saved within the folder and should stay there. 
4) Within the extracted folder, you will find an HTML file, open this file to play the web recording.
