The Future of Value Analysis: Clinical Resource Management & Breaking Even on Medicare
Overview: In the future, Value Analysis will have to go beyond collaboration. Through an approach that focuses on “Procedure-Based Resourcing and Value Analysis,” supply chain professionals and their clinician counterparts will have to take a harder look at clinical resource management and supplies. They will be required to tie them to the impact on Medicare Reimbursement, knowing that they will not be paid more than they are today and Medicare may be the priority payor. How will materials managers and their clinician counterparts address Medicare as the breakeven point, how will it impact Value Analysis and why should they consider a new approach in the wake of these questions?
