This case study outlines an effective strategy employed by a well-known not-for-profit organization resulting in significant improvement in quality outcomes at a reduced cost. Cindy Dranttel
Cindy Dranttel is the Vice President of Business Development for Premier Inc, an alliance of not-for-profit healthcare organizations intent on achieving high performance in patient quality and expense management. Cindy works with hospitals and IDNs to diagnose and develop strategies to meet their goals in quality improvement while safely reducing costs. Cindy is active in NACHRI, HFMA, and AHRMM.
Larry Burnett, RN, MS, CHE
Larry Burnett is Principle of Cardiovascular Services with Premier’s Supply Chain Performance Improvement Group based in Charlotte, NC with an office in Phoenix, Arizona. His primary role is to consult with member hospitals and health-care systems to improve their provision of cost-effective cardiovascular diagnostics and medicine. He provides clinical decision support to maximize outcomes in quality, identification of best practices, and improved utilization of clinical supplies.
Bryan L. Breeser
Bryan Breeser is the Director of Cardiac Services with St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin. St. Mary’s is one of the most comprehensive cardiac programs in Wisconsin. Bryan has over 15 years experience with progressive responsibilities including budgeting and controlling, major program development and start up, facility design and construction, organizational development, coaching and team building. He is also responsible for strategic planning, new business development, capital equipment evaluation and purchase negotiation and quality monitoring and improvement for 9 departments.
Lynette Wheeler, MSN, RN, FAAMA, FACCA
Lynette Wheeler is the Service Leader and Vice President of Cardio Pulmonary Vascular Services for Heartland Regional Medical Center in St. Joseph, Missouri. She has over 30 years of clinical and leadership experience. Lynette provides senior administrative direction, management and coordination for the ongoing development of Heartland Regional Medical Center’s Cardio Pulmonary Vascular services. She directs the administrative and day-to-day and strategic management of the direct areas of accountability. Her direct area of accountability include: Cardiac Catheterization Labs, Diagnostic Hart Center, Intensive Care Units, Respiratory Care, Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation, Sleep Lab and Cardiology Advance Practice Nurses.
