CHICAGO, August 16, 2001 - The Association for Healthcare Resource & Materials Management (AHRMM) announced that Dale Montgomery of Hays Medical Center is the recipient of the 2001 George R. Gossett Leadership Award, the association's highest honor. The announcement was made at the organization's 39th Annual Conference and Exhibition in Denver, Colorado.

Named in honor of the association's first president, the award is given to an individual who has demonstrated outstanding leadership abilities and made exceptional contributions in the healthcare resource and materials management field. The award criteria emphasizes the individual's leadership role in advancing the role of resource and materials management and increasing its visibility in healthcare, their professional contributions and support of AHRMM's activities.

As a distinguished leader and advocate, Montgomery has demonstrated the leadership qualities that the George R. Gossett Leadership Award signifies.
