AHRMM Signatory of the CleanMed 2004 Conference

CHICAGO, January 28, 2004 -  The Association for Healthcare Resource & Materials Management (AHRMM) has committed to be a signatory of the CleanMed 2004 annual conference being held in Philadelphia on April 14-15. Greener cleaners, healthy buildings, computer recovery, latex elimination and other environmental trends in healthcare are the focus of the Third Annual Healthcare Conference on Environmentally Preferable Products and Green Buildings.

As a Signatory, AHRMM supports CleanMed 2004’s mission statement to accelerate the development, use and diffusion of environmentally preferable products and the construction of green buildings in healthcare by convening healthcare professionals, university researchers, designers of professional buildings and vendors of cleaner and safer products and sharing examples of best practices.

AHRMM supports CleanMed 2004’s goals to provide examples of best practices in environmentally preferable purchasing from the U.S., Canada and Europe; to address environmentally sustainable design practices and construction materials in healthcare; to discuss and evaluate initiatives to incorporate environmentally preferable purchasing in healthcare and group purchasing organizations; to showcase environmentally preferable and occupationally safer products and practices; and to evaluate alternatives to medical waste incineration.
