AHRMM Accepting Nominations for the 2004 Leadership Award

CHICAGO, March 16, 2004 - The Association for Healthcare Resource & Materials Management (AHRMM) announced they are now accepting nominations for the 2004 Leadership Award.

The Leadership Award is presented by AHRMM in memory of George R. Gossett, an early president of the Association. Gossett envisioned the prominence of materials management in the health care field and championed the educational and professional development of the materials management discipline. The Leadership Award is the highest honor bestowed by the Association and is awarded to an individual who has demonstrated an extraordinary level of leadership and professional competence in the field of materials management or has made significant contributions to AHRMM or to advance state-of-the-art in health care materials management.

The award will be given to the recipient during AHRMM's annual conference in Nashville, Tenn. August 1-4, 2004. The recipient will be recognized in a special presentation and will receive a token of appreciation for his/her involvement and contribution to the health care field. The Association bears the expenses of all travel and lodging for the award recipient at the conference.
