AHRMM to Host Eighth Annual Golf Tournament
CHICAGO, March 1, 2004 - The Association for Healthcare Resource & Materials Management (AHRMM) will host the Eighth Annual Charity Golf Tournament in conjunction with AHRMM’s 42nd Annual Conference & Exhibition in Nashville, Tenn. The golf tournament will be held on Sunday, August 1st at the Hermitage Golf Course “President’s Reserve” in Nashville. All proceeds will go to Project Perfect World Foundation (PPWF).
Project Perfect World Foundation is a humanitarian effort sponsored by the Association for Healthcare Resource & Materials Management. Its goal is to provide needed medical care that is otherwise unavailable, to the children of third world countries. Since the creation of PPWF in 1995, a medical team has been sent to impoverished areas yearly to perform maxillofacial, orthopedic and dental surgery on children. If the needed funds and supplies can be raised, teams will be sent to other countries where the help is also desperately needed. Currently, there are four trips planned for 2004.
In 2003, AHRMM donated over $42,000 in proceeds from the golf tournament and plans to meet that goal for 2004. For more information on AHRMM's Annual Golf Tournament, please visit the Annual Conference mini site at www.ahrmm.org.
