AHRMM Launches New Career Resource for the Healthcare Supply Chain

CHICAGO – December 5, 2007 – The Association for Healthcare Resource & Materials Management (AHRMM) announces the launch of its new interactive job board, the Career Center. With its focus on the health care supply chain, the Career Center is an easy-to-use and highly targeted Web site for job seekers and employers to make online employment connections. 

“AHRMM is very excited about the new Career Center. We know how critical it is for employers in the health care supply chain to attract first-rate talent with a minimum expenditure of time and resources and we also realize how difficult it can be to job hunt in this highly competitive field,” said AHRMM President Jean Sargent. “The Career Center enables AHRMM to help its members and professionals in the materials management field make career transitions that are as easy and rewarding as possible.”

The Web site is available to individuals and health care organizations regardless of their membership affiliation with AHRMM.

• Candidates can use the service free of charge to post résumés, browse available jobs based on specific search criteria and save previously viewed jobs for later use. In addition, all jobs posted on the Web site include a map of the job location provided by Google Maps.
• Employers can post jobs online, search for qualified candidates based on specific job criteria and create an online résumé agent to email qualified candidates on a daily basis. They also benefit from online reporting that provides job activity statistics.

“AHRMM realizes that the health care supply chain is a tough market. This can make job hunting challenging for even the most seasoned professionals,” said AHRMM Executive Director Deborah Sprindzunas. “The Career Center features many new and exciting tools that AHRMM’s previous service, the CareerConnection, simply could not offer. It’s a sophisticated Web site with advanced search capabilities giving job seekers increased exposure and employers the unique opportunity to make easy contact with some of the most highly qualified candidates in the field.”

As with AHRMM’s CareerConnection, AHRMM members will continue to receive weekly email job alerts with the most recent postings. The Career Center offers discounted ad rates for simultaneous postings.
