The Advent of Value Analysis Models for Value-Based Comparative Purchasing: The Materials Manager’s New Best Friend?

Speakers:  Josh Feldstein, Medical Editor-in-Chief and President, MarCom Group International and Beth Brooks, Vice President, Health Economics, MarCom Group International

Overview:  Value Analysis Models, known as VAMs, are novel comparative economic analytical tools.  Increasingly used by purchasing managers and acquisition teams to make comparative “apples-to-apples” value determinations, VAMs go far beyond supply cost alone, embracing an entire “episode of care” to present the true, overall value of competing products. If you are not yet familiar with VAMs, or if you’ve heard about them and are eager to learn more—and how they can help your institution—then this webinar is for you.

Join health economists Dr. Beth Brooks and Josh Feldstein from MarCom Group International (www.marcomgroupintl.com) present on the emerging application of VAMs for materials and purchasing management. Beth, a mathematician and model designer, and Josh, a medical marketing and professional education consultant, will provide a live demonstration of the sample model, its use, function, and outputs. The model’s construction will be explained, with an insightful review of the current comparative data analysis trend now impacting purchasing decision-making at medical institutions. A Q&A will follow. Beth and Josh, experienced educators, present a webinar that is practical and very useful.

The need for VAMs is growing. Industry is increasing its support of these models to help advance the understanding of overall product value. This webinar is a must for all purchasing managers on the front-end of the value analysis initiative.
