"China Pricing" and its Application to High Cost Implant MS-DRGs
Speakers: Liz Veazey, RN, MBA, CMRP, Consulting Manager, OMSolutions
Scott Hardtman, CMRP, FACHE, Executive Director, Supply Chain Management, Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian
Overview: As it was with Japan in the 20th century, American industry again has been challenged in the 21st century by China as the new benchmark for the value of goods and services. American business leaders have been discussing the so-called "China price" and looking to provide their products at a competitive value.
This webinar examines this concept in relation to the healthcare supply chain and in particular how this might apply to establishing realistic pricing models for implants using MS-DRG reimbursement levels. The discussion will lead participants through an explanation of how MS-DRG reimbursement for their facilities is calculated and will provide insight into how this information can be incorporated into negotiations with product suppliers.
