Academic Council for Healthcare Supply Chain Research
An evolution of the AHRMM Research Symposium held in the fall of 2009, the Academic Council for Healthcare Supply Chain Research is a research consortium founded in 2010 and comprised of 14 members dedicated to advancing health care supply chain theory and practice. The council aims to foster a collaborative approach to conducting research in the healthcare supply chain.
The council meets annually and shares syllabi, white papers, articles and research papers on an ongoing basis throughout the year. Its areas of focus include identifying pressing supply chain issues in the health sector, considering theoretical and methodological perspectives likely to provide value, assessing methods for securing funding from foundations, government and industry, and determining dissemination strategies for bridging the gap between research and practice.
