Sandra Monacelli, RN
Sandra Monacelli leads system-wide value analysis and perioperative improvement processes at a variety of healthcare organizations, reducing clinical supply chain spend by employing cost of care, quality, and clinical outcomes data to identify opportunities. She is a clinical leader with a reputation for managerial excellence, vision, and results. Sandra leverages collaborative, mentoring, and analytical leadership to inspire innovation, operational excellence, and increased communication.
Sandra’s past roles include serving as Clinical Specialist at Medtronic (cardiac rhythm disease management). She also served as Operating Room Nurse Manager, Tissue Bank Compliance Officer, and Orthopedics Nurse Leader at the University of Rochester Medical Center, as well as Manager of Surgical Services at Medina Memorial Hospital. Over the course of her career, she has created and implemented high-functioning perioperative cultures in a variety of demanding OR suite settings.
Sandra has presented at Premier Annual Breakthroughs Conference in 2014 and currently serves on the Premier Value Analysis Advisory Council.
Sandra received her undergraduate at the University of Rochester School of Nursing. She earned her M.B.A. from the University of Rochester’s William E. Simon Graduate School of Business. Sandra is a certified perioperative registered nurse (CNOR) and a current member of AORN, OR Manager, and AHVAP. She has achieved a Lean Six Sigma Yellow belt designation.
