Alex VandenBroek is Supply Chain Operations Manager with non-acute locations for MultiCare Health Systems in the Pacific Northwest. She has worked for MHS since 2018, with two years as the supervisor of multiple nutritional retail cafes and cafeterias and six years as a leader of operations in numerous acute and non-acute sites. During the start of the pandemic, Alex was drawn to supply chain to support those who made a difference in the organization, from environmental care services all the way to administration. Alex has a deep passion for, and commitment to, innovation, customer service, patient care, and operational efficiency.

Lana Makhanik is the COO and Co-Founder of VueMed, a healthcare IT company founded in 2008 that solves acute inventory management, supply chain, and clinical documentation problems in hospitals using advanced UDI-compliant RAIN RFID, barcode scanning, and electronic shelf label solutions. She oversees implementation and support service teams, ensures quality control in the execution and delivery of VueMed’s services, and works closely with clinical, financial, and supply chain leaders in hospitals. Lana is a subject matter expert in data-driven clinical inventory optimization, supply chain visibility and predictability, clinical documentation at the point of care, UDI data capture, AIDC solutions, KPIs and data analytics, revenue integrity, item master management, and demand planning. Lana holds a Bachelor of Science in Cognitive Science from Wellesley College.
