Description

New information technologies and automated systems are transforming health care supply chain operations. This program builds expertise in MMIS and ERP tools, data standards, system integration and EDI transactions — equipping participants to collaborate effectively with IT teams and improve accuracy, efficiency, communication and data flow.

Program Format: 4‑week virtual cohort, running April 27–May 22. It includes:

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

  • Promote development of supply chain system communication standards and define common ANSI X12 EDI transaction sets.
  • Identify the significance of supply chain data standards and list multiple benefits of UDI system implementation for health care organizations.
  • Apply common global supply chain data standards to your organization's MMIS and collaborate with IT and Health Information Management to facilitate records management storage, archival and retrieval.
  • Describe key MMIS requirements and differentiate between MMIS and ERP systems.
  • Develop an MMIS assessment and gap analysis process and implementation plan and list the steps of an MMIS acquisition.
