2024 AHRMM Candidate Profile: Tom Harvieux
Tom Harvieux
SVP/Chief Supply Chain Officer
BJC Health System
St Louis, MO
Describe the reasons why you would like to run for the Advisory Board.
To help advance the supply chain profession in health care and to support efforts to bring educational content to as many people as possible.
Describe why you are a good candidate for this leadership role.
With over 25 years of executive experience in numerous organizations I have had the opportunity to work with a wide range of talent and see a tremendous amount of change in supply chain and health care.
I work hard to use this knowledge to shape institutions, people, and our larger industry. I believe in what Mike Schiller is doing at AHRMM and believe I can help this movement.
Describe where you see health care evolving, and what you see supply chain’s role being in those future models.
Four key roles:
- Organizational leaders in expense management
- Leaders, coaches and change agents in helping lead organizations in assessing and adopting leading practices and managing business decisions utilizing total cost of ownership
- Working to improve the health care supply chain to close gap to what is being done in other industries (Automotive, Retail, Manufacturing, etc.)
- Growing leaders and talent to support the changes and progress our industry needs
How will your leadership and vision strengthen AHRMM?
As in our own organizations were we also advance health through supply chain excellence, supporting AHRMM would entail being a voice for member's needs, connecting members in sharing experiences and knowledge, and expanding availability of high quality content. I would do this with board, management, and others consistent with the AHRMM values of Integrity, Excellence, and partnering.
