AHRMM Academy: Information Systems and Data Management
Today’s health care environment demands that information be shared in a fast and efficient manner. Technology has advanced with lightning speed and systems have become more sophisticated. They are capable of customizing management reports, coordinating information from multiple data points and locations, and communicating electronically to other systems. Through all technological evolutions, however, two basic components remain the same: all computers possess hardware and use software programs.
New information technologies and automated systems are redefining how the supply chain department (and hospital) functions. Today’s supply chain staff must be technologically savvy as well as develop good relationships with IT department staff.
