Procurement and Product Value Analysis
Supply chain professionals are tasked with keeping their health care facility running smoothly, while taking into consideration cost, quality, and outcomes. They must manage the people and processes as well as the selection of all products and services that flow into and out of a health care organization every day. Purchasing decisions must include details such as specific patient needs, green initiatives, contract status, product standardization, clinical evidence, outcomes, quality, cost and reimbursement.
Purchasing is a core function of supply chain and includes contracting for the acquisition of goods, equipment and services in the health care organization. It is critical that you are knowledgeable in the steps involved in selecting, sourcing, negotiating, contracting, and ordering supplies and equipment. Learn the processes and methods used for purchasing, including contract negotiations, contract terminology, key legal issues, and vendor management and evaluation.
Format: This program is a 4-week virtual cohort from October 19-November 13. It includes 4 live sessions (1-hour weekly presentations, that will also be available on-demand), comprehensive eLearning modules, online discussion forums and a digital badge credential upon completion.
Continuing Education: Completing this program earns 6 CECs - applicable for ACHE credits. Completion of all five cohorts earns you 30 CECs and fast tracks your path to earning CMRP certification.
