Describe why you are a good candidate for this leadership role.

With over twenty years of experience in various Strategic Sourcing and Supply Chain roles, I have been successful at leading and developing high performing teams. I am a cost-conscientious businessperson who is innovative and highly responsible. In my role as a Supply Chain leader I have improved contract compliance by collaborating with cross functional teams shifting non contracted spend to contracted spend by 25%. Additionally, I have excellent skills in leading, developing, managing, and implementing various contract categories portfolios that would lend support to the AHRMM advisory committee as Supply Chain continues to evolve. I also believe that it’s important to note that starting my Supply Chain career on the front lines has truly shaped the Supply Chain Leader that I have become today. While I am a strategic thinker, I am also mindful of the decisions that impact our front-line team. If I am selected to be a member of the AHRMM Advisory Board I will remain true to the mission and vision while ensuring that our decision is based on the greater good.

Describe where you see health care evolving, and what you see supply chain’s role being in those future models

According to (LaPointe) healthcare supply chain management involves obtaining resources, managing supplies, and delivering goods and services to providers and patients. I find this to be true, however Supply Chain is more than just supplies and delivering services. For example, Supply Chain data and informatics has become a key component to healthcare evolution in terms of how patients are billed, organizational reimbursement, risk reduction and liability. Similarly, Supply Chain has become essential in ensuring contractual provisions are advantageous to the organization. Supply Chain is no longer an afterthought we are the think tanks and visionaries for current and future healthcare models.

How will your leadership and vision strengthen AHRMM? Share your thoughts, making sure to touch upon the following: AHRMM’s mission, strategy map, the future of health care supply chain, and the CQO movement.

I believe that my leadership on the AHRMM advisory board will strengthen the vision because I believe that Supply Chain play a key role in advancing healthcare. While many of the Supply Chain Leaders are not responsible for direct patient care we are responsible for negotiating products and services at the lowest delivered cost without impacting quality or care. We achieve this by ensuring that our contracts are written to protect the organization and the patient. We enter partnerships with integrity and excellence with the understanding that we expect nothing less than excellent quality, service, and care. The strategic goals of AHRMM’s are key principals that I believe in and will continue to build on.
